We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament were given by inspiration of God, and are our infallible rule of faith and conduct.
We believe there is only one God, revealed in three persons: the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit (commonly referred to as the Trinity.)
We believe in the deity of Christ. He is God in the flesh: in his divine nature truly God, and in his human nature truly man. He is the mediator between God and man; once crucified, He is now risen and glorified.
We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is, as the third person of the Trinity, to apply the saving work of Christ. He brings us to conviction, shows us our need for forgiveness from Christ, and regenerates our heart. The Spirit comes to live in us at conversion, opens our understanding of the Scriptures, and empowers the believer for godly living and sacrifice.
We believe that though man was created in the image of God, he willingly rebelled against God, ushering in spiritual and physical death. As a result, we are separated from relationship with God and suffer the corruption of our nature because of our sin.
We believe it is God’s desire for every person to be restored in relationship with Him. No amount of good works or human effort can restore us from our state of eternal separation from God. This salvation comes only through trusting Christ, through faith and repentance, to be our personal Savior and Lord.
We believe that transformation, growth, and life change are evidence of a person’s fellowship with God. As we actively pursue a real relationship with God, He will continue to change us to become more like Christ. Spiritual growth is a lifetime commitment of loving God, building character, loving people, and following Christ.
We believe that the Body of Christ consists of those who have accepted God’s offer of redemption through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ. This diverse group of believers are the church and are commanded by God to be faithful in gathering together to devote ourselves to worship, prayer, the teaching of God’s Word, using our gifts to build up one another, and reaching out into our communities. Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the church.
